Biodiesel is receiving increased attention as an alternative, non-toxic, biodegradable and renewable diesel fuel. Biodiesel comes in use due to depletion of petroleum fuels and the environment benefits. Biogas can also be used with the biodiesel in I.C engine because of its better mixing ability and clean burning nature with very minor modifications in the engine. The usage of oxygenated fuels can reduce the particulate matter (PM) emissions from the engine without large modification of the engine. The present study has conducted to evaluate the properties of rice bran biodiesel and effect on the performance and emissions characteristics of C.I. engine using rice bran oil methyl ester with oxygenated fuel of Diethyl Ether blended with diesel as a pilot fuel and biogas as a gaseous fuel under dual fuel mode. This study is conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the blends of D80-B10-DEE10 and D60-B20-DEE20 with the use of biogas at a fixed flow rate of 0.9 kg/hr are performed at different load conditions and compared with diesel. In the second phase, the blends of D80-B10-DEE10 and D60-B20-DEE20 are performed at different load conditions.

The technical and economic research is to develop the concept of the biogas plant using by-products and wastewater from production in the factories based on the processing of sugar beet. And also the exact technological aspects of the biogas plant were presented. The subject of study on working biogas plant was carried out on the basic information from some of a Polish Sugar Plant and fulfilled by literature. Industrial assumptions are presented, such as raw materials for biogas production, currently owned technical infrastructure and land development. The concept of biogas plant installation with division into individual objects is presented. The purpose of this article was to develop the economic analysis for biogas plant working at sugar factory and to show the energy balances and material and then calculated the main economic indicators such as Cash Flow (CF), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Discounted Payback Period (DPP). It was found that the biogas plant operating at a sugar factory can be a profitable investment and DPP amounted to 4 years. However, these results are estimates and in reality they may changed.

There is an increasing interest in the world to search for the suitable alternative fuels that are eco-friendly and has less environmental hazards. So, this led to the study of alternative fuels for internal combustion (IC) Engines. One of such fuels is Biodiesel. Biodiesel is prepared from the well-known transesterification process. In the present study, the hostel mess wastes were used as potential feedstock for biogas production in a fixed dome digester. Under dual fuel operation, the flow rate of 2.2 kg/h was found to be optimum on the basis of engine combustion performance and emissions characteristics as compared to other biogas flow rates. the usage of biogas with diesel under dual seems to be effective in reducing NOx smoke well trade off from diesel engines. The biogas diesel dual fuel mode is very effective in rural household's electricity generation and agricultural sectors. The biogas dual fuel technology has the potential to utilize the variety of gaseous fuels to solve the current and future problems of energy scarcity and exhaust tailpipe emissions.
